Stewardship
Environmental Stewardship is Essential
WSA is a public body corporation. The Authority has no taxing powers, is not part of the City of Douglasville or Douglas County governments, and does not receive any tax revenue from City or County governments.
We all share responsibility in protecting and advocating for water resources in Douglas County. Being a good steward can mean different things to different people but there are many easy ways you can make a big impact in the health and sustainability of our local waterways. Need a few quick ideas? Host a neighborhood litter pickup, educate your friends and family on pollution prevention measures, or volunteer for an environmental advocacy group.
Consumer Confidence Report
WSA is highly dedicated to sharing information about our water system with customers and empowering them with access to important testing data and need-to-know water topics. In June of each year, WSA produces the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) which is a comprehensive report on testing data collected the previous year, helpful information on the water system, and all the ways to get engaged and involved with water resources in the Douglas County community. The current CCR, as well as an archive of previous years, is hosted right here on the website and can be accessed anytime to keep customers confident that their tap water is being treated and tested at the highest standards.
Awards
The numerous water professionals at WSA are committed to “award-winning service to our local community.” Through their efforts, WSA has received awards and recognitions at the local, regional, state, and national level. Take a look at the many accolades your local water provider as accumulated since it’s inception in 1986.
