Accounting Supervisor
$68,246.55 to $95,545.17, D.O.E.
This position manages the day-to-day functions of the accounting department which includes work in the preparation of the Authority’s financial statements, payroll and tax reports, budgets, fixed assets accounting, bank account reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger and other fiscal records. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and includes supervising the Accounting Department. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and five (5) years of general accounting experience, preferably with payroll and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Engineer – Construction Management & DOT
$68,246.55 to $122,843.79 yearly, D.O.E.
This position performs technical, administrative, and supervisory work in the engineering design activities for water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure development. Seeking an individual with experience in civil construction and Department of Transportation (DOT) projects.
Duties include reviewing water, sewer, stormwater, and erosion control construction plans and specifications, responding to information requests from developers and contractors, estimating development costs, interfacing with contractors and construction inspectors, and responding to inquiries from the general public. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field and two (2) years of experience in design or construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate should possess a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Preferred registration as a licensed Engineer in Training in the State of Georgia and GSWCC Level II Certification, or the ability to obtain it within ninety (90) days from the date of hire.
Laborer
$16.54 hourly
Job duties include work of routine difficulty in manual labor involving physically demanding unskilled and limited semi-skilled tasks. Works as a water, wastewater, or construction crew member, maintaining water and/or sewer lines. This position requires the employee to be on-call on a rotating basis.
Senior Equipment Operator
$21.03 hourly
This position performs skilled work in the operation of moderately complex medium to heavy construction equipment. The work involves the safe and skilled operating, servicing, and minor maintenance of equipment for transporting personnel and materials and may involve operating components of significant complexity or capacity. Work also involves the performance of manual tasks. Supervision may be exercised over semi-skilled workers. Candidate should possess a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with three (3) years of experience operating automotive and construction equipment preferred. Candidate should possess a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), as well as a valid State of Georgia Class “A” CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). Possession of Manual Transmission Endorsement preferred or be able to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire. Possession of a Confined Spaces certificate. Possession of a Department of Transportation Flagger certificate. Possession of a Trench Excavation certificate. An individual in this position is required to be on-call on a rotating basis and reports to the Construction or Maintenance Foreman.
Maintenance Mechanic
$21.03 hourly
This position performs skilled work in major mechanical and minor electrical maintenance, adjustments, repair of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and all related equipment. Work involves operating combination vehicles and single and tandem axle automotive equipment or relatively simple mechanical attachments. May work independently or with other mechanics, laborers, and/or the plant or pump station operators during repair assignments. Qualified candidates should possess a High School diploma or General Equivalency diploma (GED), three (3) years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance and repair, as well as a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and valid State of Georgia Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (CDL). An employee in this position is required to be required to be on call on a rotating basis and reports to the Maintenance Mechanic Foreman.
Maintenance Foreman
$24.38 hourly
This position performs work of moderate difficulty supervising and participating in the general maintenance, repair, and construction of wastewater (sewer) systems and other related structures and facilities. Work involves overseeing and participating in the activities performed by subordinate employees involved in construction, maintenance, repair, and related work.
Candidates should possess a High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with five (5) years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of a variety of public work facilities, with some previous supervisory experience preferred.
Candidates should also possess the following: a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and Class “A” CDL, a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), State of Georgia Wastewater Collection Systems License, or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment, State of Georgia Water Distribution License, or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment. Possession of Manual Transmission Endorsement preferred or be able to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire. Candidates should also possess a Confined Spaces certificate, a Department of Transportation Flagger certificate, and a Trench Excavation certificate. An individual in this position is required to be on-call on a rotating basis and reports to the Maintenance Superintendent.
Senior Electrician
$58,883.24 to $82,375.03 yearly, D.O.E.
This position performs skilled work in the electrical maintenance and repair of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related equipment. May work independently or as a crew leader with other electricians, mechanics, laborers, and the pump station operators during repair assignments and assists in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs and maintaining detailed records. The senior electrician must have controls troubleshooting skills and be able to diagnose and repair electrical systems focusing on automation, PLCs, VFDs, and complex circuits, using tools like multimeters, clamp meters, thermal cameras, and schematic reading to fix issues from loose wires to programming errors, ensuring machines run safely and efficiently. Core Responsibilities & Skills include: Troubleshooting medium/low voltage (120v to 4160v) power, motor starters, transformers, and breakers. Diagnosing PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces), sensors, relays, and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives). Working with 4-20mA signals, transmitters, and calibration. Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and manuals. Adhering to strict lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures. Qualified candidates should possess an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in motor controls, electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should also possess a valid State of Georgia driver’s license (Class C) and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), with a valid State of Georgia Class II (Unrestricted) Electrical License preferred. An individual in this position is on 24-hour call, 7 days a week and reports to the Maintenance Mechanic Superintendent.
