Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority is partnering with Tallatoona Community Action Agency to bring the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) to residents in Douglas County. Funding for LIHWAP has been provided through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The program aims to help low income households with utility bill payments. Interested parties should contact Tallatoona at (770) 817-4666, option 2, or online at tallatoonacap.org/water for more information regarding the program and appointments. WSA is unable to answer questions or provide guidance for the LIHWAP program, all inquiries and applications must be directed to the program administrators at Tallatoona. Once you have been approved through the LIHWAP process at Tallatoona, their office will inform WSA of the amount of financial aid to apply to your account.
